On the Mark
 Issue: # 11       3rd Qtr / 2011

From the President

I would first like to thank all of the Censis team members who put in countless hours to make the first Censitrac® Users Conference such a success.  More importantly I want to thank all of the attendees who took time out of their hectic schedules to join us in Nashville.  The feedback we received was that CtUC 2011 was a tremendous success.  We look forward to hosting the conference again next year.

I hope that the lasting impression from the conference was our commitment to listen to the users of Censitrac®.  I enjoyed the open session where the attendees discussed enhancements they would like to see in the system.  Believe me when I say we listen.  In the past year  we have had 3 new releases.  In these releases 112 specific user requests have been addressed.  We took careful notes and will be addressing the suggestions in future releases.

I would also like to remind our users of the new interfaces we highlighted at the CtUC.  Censitrac®now can interface with Belimed and Getinge sterilizers.  We expect the new interface with the ASP STERRAD® NX® and STERRAD® 100NX®  devices to be available in early 2012.  Also the interest in the new interface with the OneSOURCE documents service has been great.  I encourage you to contact the Censis Customer Service team to learn more about any of these interfaces.

Please let us know of any suggestions you may have regarding enhancements to Censitrac, and interfaces to other products or systems you would like to see in the future...we're all ears!

Business Development

The flag goes up on Censis' annual users conference; CtUC. This year marked our first year to play host to multiple hospital and surgery center customers from all over the United States during the month of August.

The Censitrac® flag raised at OneEleven, which hosted the CtUC evening festivities.

The conference provided numerous networking opportunities as well as educational  and CEU sessions led by some of the top healthcare industry peers and speakers. Topics covered "A Case for Case Tracking and OR Scheduling Interfacing", "Functionality Advances - oneSOURCE and Paperless Recordkeeping" and "Instrument Marking and Tracking - The Future is UDI".  We were pleased to present Nancye Feistritzer, RN, MSN, Associate Hospital Director for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as our keynote speaker for an intriguing session called "Unleashing Efficiency: A Vanderbilt University Medical Center Case Cart Study".

In addition, corporate sponsorship booths were located adjacent to the conference hall and representatives were available to answer questions during breaks or for individual one on one sessions.  CtUC11 sponsors included ASP, Awarepoint, Specialty Surgical Instrumentation, Cognex, Datalux, Princeton Medical Group and oneSOURCE.

We want to take this opportunity to thank these sponsors and look forward to having them and others attend next year's CtUC.

Please be on the lookout for CtUC12 during the third quarter of next year so that those of you not able to attend this year can make your experience with Censitrac® more effective and efficient.  For those of you who were able to attend CtUC11, we appreciate your participation and look forward to seeing you next year!

Technology

The feedback we had from our customers attending the 2011 Censitrac User Conference was awesome.  We received many excellent suggestions for Censitrac enhancements that will be considered for inclusion in future releases of the software.  So stay tuned, and keep feeding your ideas and suggestions to us through your Customer Service Representatives at our Help Desk.

On the hardware front, we've added a few new items to the list that we resell to our customers.  For our V.A. and military customers, the use of Bluetooth cordless scanners has been an issue in the past due to security restrictions.  However, there is now a cordless scanner available with encryption that meets the government's FIPS 140-2 compliance requirements.  We also offer an all-in-one medical grade PC with touch screen, as well as a sealed waterproof keyboard that is ideal for use in the decontamination areas.  Contact our Help Desk or your Censis sales representative for details on these new hardware options.
